Dr. Krishna Prasad, an industry leader, has over 35 years of experience in Commercial Shipping. After completing his Post Graduation from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, he started his shipping career with the Shipping Corporation of India. Later, he was Country Representative in India for Puyvast Chartering, Holland later he moved to Dubai and joined the Sharaf Group in their ship owning and ship management arm. Subsequently, he took up the position of Managing Director (UAE) of Huadao Shipping, Hong Kong, a part of BM Shipping Italy. He started his entrepreneurial journey by taking up the position as Director of Tradex Marine Global, Dubai. In 2010, he established Aster Marine Cargo LLC, a company focusing on Ship Broking, Commercial Ship Management and Consultancy.  

He has hands on experience in Shipbroking, Ship Operations, Ship Management and Liner Trade. 

He holds a Doctorate in Shipping and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He is the Vice Chair of the Commission on Customs and Trade Facilitation of the International Chamber of Commerce UAE, as well as a Member of the Board of the National Association of Freight and Logistics. Dr. Prasad is the former Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers Middle East Branch and a former member of the Executive Council of ICS globally. 

He is a consultant in Shipping and Logistics and conducts training sessions in different parts of the world. He has presented papers in many international conferences and seminars. He is an advisor to Ship Finex Dubai and Microsec Singapore.
